Did you know Mango's mother was white? Ironically, but her father was white, too. Also her mother had green eyes and her father had yellow eyes, so Lucky got the eye colors from both parents.
Some important persons (maybe it's the bosses from the job, I dunno) once asked the owners of this cat for a cute white kitten for their daughter's birthday. The cat masters were absolutely sure with two white parents their kitty will give birth to the same white kittens. However, to everyone's surprise, the black kitten was born, and only one in the litter. Probably some black grandfathers/grandmothers/great-grandmothers had been in the family tree. In any case those humanz were freakin' disapointed and angry. They were forced to look for another kitten and buy it from other people in order to avoid any suspicion. And then they got rid of Mango as quickly as possible, just as she had learned how to eat normal food. Mother thought they were going to give her child to some other humans. But she didn't know her despicable masters are not going to waste time on it. The next day Mango was on the road, close to the park.
